Beginning of Success with HubPages

Your Success with Hubpages is closer than you think.

My first success with HubPages came on January 21, 2011 when I published my first hub. I was pleased to see a piece of my written work published again. For the first couple of days I had difficulty writing. I think the first day I stared at the computer screen for what felt like an hour. I didn't type a word. By the third day though, I had succeeded in my task, publishing my first hub.

Thus far, I have learnt that I definitely have a lot more to learn and am looking forward to doing so. Knowledge is power and I believe this applies here on HubPages as well. I am weak in the technical side of things so I believe that's where I have struggled the most and plan on doing a lot more research to help me with it. Backlinking, which from my research I understand is an excellent way to send traffic to your hubs. It is also something in which, I need to spend some more time researching. Again it's the technical side of it that confuses me, backlinking itself, makes total sense.

As well, I know I have more to learn about keyword searches. Again in theory choosing the right keywords for your article to ensure it is searched for makes perfect sense. Applying the theory, well let's just saying I'm doing my best.  That first hub I published 10days ago, well to date it has had 96 views.  In total the 5 hubs I have written have been viewed 274 times. With my first hub, having the most views, is it because I used the right keywords? I'm not sure.

For each and every person, success can be defined in a different way, be sure to achieve your success.

Yesterday, for the first time since joining HubPages, the traffic to my 5 hubs started to decline. I referred to a hub I had bookmarked which was written by Bard of Ely, Advice about making money at HubPages Part 2 - Links. I joined a few of the social networking sites, that he mentions in his hub and sure enough within one hour of doing so, my traffic began to rise. Turns out he's not just a pretty face, since joining 2 years ago he has 1585 followers and 420 hubs, I think it's safe to say we could all learn a little something from him.

It was after I followed the advice in his hub that not only did my traffic rise, but I also made my first penny on GoogleAdsense! Yes I am the type of person who feels a sense of happiness by breaking even on a scratch ticket or winning a small amount of coins at the casino. So yes, even though that first penny isn't enough to even buy me a scratch ticket, it is the beginning to what I am sure is going to be a long road to success.

Since joining I've read a lot of success stories. I believe with a lot of hard work and dedication, anyone can be successful here. Information about how to write hubs, how to promote them, and how to make money with them, is all here within the HubPages. Learn from the experienced hubbers. Most importantly, write and do lots of it. For me it took 3 days to publish a hub and 12 days to make one cent and I have enjoyed myself the whole time.

Am I a success story, not yet. But, I am working hard to become one.

I just joined and I am still reading the 'how to' on Hub. Thanks for your hub and I hope I can make a penny soon.

Thank you. I have found there is soooo much to learn, I do my best to try to read as many how to huns as well. Up to 2 cents now, LOL. Best of luck!
